A vulnerability in the web framework of Cisco Unified Communications Domain Manager (Cisco Unified CDM) Application Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to redirect a user to a possible malicious website. The vulnerability is due to insufficient validation of user input when invoking some scripts via the admin web interface. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user to access a crafted URL. Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available. To exploit the vulnerability, the attacker may provide a link that directs a user to a malicious site and use misleading language or instructions to persuade the user to follow the provided link. Cisco indicates through the CVSS score that functional exploit code exists; however, the code is not known to be publicly available.
The Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is not aware of any public announcements or malicious use of the vulnerability that is described in this advisory.
