Cisco Identity Services Engine Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the web framework of Cisco Identity Services Engine could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the web interface on the affected system. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation on several web pages. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user to access a malicious link. To exploit the vulnerability, the attacker may provide a link that directs a user to a malicious site or provide a crafted file intended to submit malicious input to the affected software to a user and use misleading language or instructions to persuade the user to follow the link or open the file. Cisco indicates through the CVSS score that functional exploit code exists; however, the code is not known to be publicly available.
