A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco SPA112 2-Port Phone Adapters could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to a missing authentication process within the firmware upgrade function. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by upgrading an affected device to a crafted version of firmware. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device with full privileges. Cisco has not released firmware updates to address this vulnerability. There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability. Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products section of this advisory are known to be affected by this vulnerability.
There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
Cisco has not released and will not release firmware updates to address the vulnerability that is described in this advisory. Cisco SPA112 2-Port Phone Adapters have entered the end-of-life process. Customers are advised to refer to the end-of-life notice for the product:
Customers are encouraged to migrate to a Cisco ATA 190 Series Analog Telephone Adapter.
When considering a device migration, customers are advised to regularly consult the advisories for Cisco products, which are available from the Cisco Security Advisories page, to determine exposure and a complete upgrade solution.
