A cross-site scripting vulnerability was discovered in smokeping, a latency logging and graphing system. Input passed to the displaymode parameter was not properly sanitized. An attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user's browser session in the context of an affected site. For the stable distribution (squeeze), this problem has been fixed in version 2.3.6-5+squeeze1. For the testing distribution (wheezy), this problem has been fixed in version 2.6.7-1. For the unstable distribution (sid), this problem has been fixed in version 2.6.7-1. We recommend that you upgrade your smokeping packages.
