At the time of publication, this vulnerability affected Cisco Expressway Series and Cisco TelePresence VCS if they were running a vulnerable release and had the Automatic Certification Revocation Lists (CRL) updates feature enabled. The Automatic CRL update feature is disabled by default. However, an attacker with read-write privileges on the application could enable this feature to carry out the exploit.

Determine Whether the Automatic CRL Updates Feature is Enabled
Choose Maintenance > Security > CRL Management. If the Automatic CRL updates box has been selected, the updates feature has been enabled.
Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products section of this advisory are known to be affected by this vulnerability.
There are no workarounds that address this vulnerability.
When considering software upgrades, customers are advised to regularly consult the advisories for Cisco products, which are available from the Cisco Security Advisories page, to determine exposure and a complete upgrade solution.
