I have prepared an upload[¹] for testing packaging the new upstream release,
but I noticed that the debdiff is bit huge although it's most metadata and
docstrings.[²]
I'm attaching it here: inside there are the fix for CVE-2021-33503, some fixes
for deprecation warnings emitted in Python 3.10 and dockstring changes (mostly
spaces removed) and the metadata stuff.
I will open a pre-unblock request to see if it's fine to upload: if the release
team will not agree I will upload only the cherry pick of the fix you already
pointed to me (many thanks for this!).
For buster I will prepare an package only with the cherry-pick of the fix during
the week, ASAP.
[¹] It's on salsa: https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/python-urllib3
[²] When I looked at the diff between tags I missed the metadata stuff that
obviously is not inside the repository.
Kind regards,
