Ryan Finnie discovered that the rsync daemon incorrectly handled invalid usernames. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause rsync to consume resources, resulting in a denial of service.

Ryan Finnie discovered that the rsync daemon incorrectly handled invalid usernames. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause rsync to consume resources, resulting in a denial of service.

Update instructions
