A KERedirect Untrusted Pointer Dereference Privilege Escalation vulnerability in Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac (Consumer) 7.0 (2017) and above could allow a local malicious user to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations. The issue results from the lack of proper validation function on 0x6F4E offset user-supplied buffer. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
