Remote Privilege Escalation via Double Free in Windows Workstation Service
There is a double free vulnerability in the Workstation service of Microsoft Windows. This issue lets remote authenticated users gain higher privileges using a crafted RPC message on systems like Windows XP SP2 or SP3 and Server 2003 SP2. It can also cause a denial of service with a crafted RPC message on systems like Vista Gold, SP1, SP2, and Server 2008 Gold or SP2. This problem is called the "Workstation Service Memory Corruption Vulnerability."
