Vulnerability Summary

A vulnerability in certain input fields of Cisco Context Directory Agent (CDA) could allow an authenticated, remote malicious user to hide values that are entered in the affected input fields. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by including specific values while entering data into affected fields. An exploit could allow the malicious user to hide values from displaying in the CDA user interface. Cisco has confirmed the vulnerability in a security notice; however, software updates are not available. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must authenticate to a targeted device. This access requirement reduces the likelihood of a successful exploit. Cisco indicates through the CVSS score that proof-of-concept exploit code exists; however, the code is not known to be publicly available.
